Calling all advocates for African American children in Minnesota!
February 10, 2020-- National African American Parent Involvement Day doesn't get much attention online or in the classroom, but this year Minnesota State Representatives Rena Moran and Ruth Richardson are making sure it's celebrated with a space to hear from the parents.
"Too often we focus on the issues, but we want to talk about the solutions, and what's possible when we come together."
Joined by former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Alan Page, and representatives from the community, elected officials, parents will have a chance to share what's working in the schools and how State legislatures can advocate for the resources needed to see a positive impact.
The Equity Round table is a series of events to convene elected officials, community members, advocates, and parents for critical discussions about issues facing African Americans in Minnesota.
VisibilityMatters.us is proud to support the event by providing social media support and training for all participants.
